The North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology has a long history of original electronic publication. Volumes 1 and 2 of the journal were initially published direct to the web, before the journal transitioned to a traditional print format. Starting with Volume 8, the journal resumed publishing online-exclusive articles, this time as a supplement to the two print issues.
Today, the NC JOLT Online Edition is published on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. The Online Edition features short-length professional articles submitted to the journal and concise recent developments written by our student staff. All published pieces undergo a thorough editorial review by our staff and must meet the same rigorous standards as our print issues. The Online Edition strives to promote timely access to quality legal scholarship on the most current issues in law and technology.
The Online Edition has an open call for submissions from judges, professors, and practitioners. With the rolling nature of this edition, short articles choose for publication can be edited and published over a period of weeks, not a period of months. Submissions should be addressed to the attention of the Online Edition Editor, Erich M. Fabricius, at online [dot] editor [at] ncjolt [dot] org.
